Vacation Rental Guest FAQ
Yes, you can book direct on our website and save money by not paying a third-party listing website a service fee. We do guarantee secure payment using our online credit card processor directly connected with our reservation system.
All our San Diego vacation rentals require at least a three-night minimum stay. There are no exceptions to this rule, due to the new laws pertaining to minimum vacation rental requirements throughout San Diego.
The minimum age to book a property is 25. If you are not with a family or guardian(s), we reserve the right not to allow bookings of our properties unless everyone in the party is at least 25 years of age.
If booked on our website, the property will be put on hold until the vacation rental agreement is signed and returned. Next, you will receive a reservation confirmation and a receipt for payment. 45 days prior to arrival, you will receive a reminder notice of the remaining balance due on your vacation rental. One week prior to arrival, we will send out entry instructions, including steps to take if you need a lock box for your arrival.
All balances are due in full 45 days prior to arrival, with an initial payment of 33% of the total of the reservation due at the time of booking, if outside of the 45 day marker.
Cancellations received 60 days prior to arrival are subject to a $170 cancellation fee, with the remainder being refunded. If cancellation is within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund unless we are able to rebook the property, or refund is granted by Titan Beach Rentals or Owner.
Titan Beach Rentals and Property Owner will not be liable for any circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to mechanical failures, road construction, unfavorable weather, conditions in areas surrounding the Property or disruption of utility services (including cable TV).
We will send an email with specific arrival and departure instructions for each property. We do inspect all properties before arrival and after departure. This is done to ensure the property is ready for arrival and for any issues and maintenance needed after departure.
We do require guests to perform the following acts upon departure:
Place all dishes and utensils in the dishwasher and start a cycle, plus clean any other cooking items left behind.
Pick up any trash or garbage inside and outside the property to be bagged.
Take out garbage to trash cans, and place cans out for pick up (if applicable that morning).
Early check-in is not permitted unless purchased separately or permitted by the Titan Beach Rentals staff. We do ask that guests also not show up to the property to use any parking early, as our inspector and cleaners also need to use the available spot(s).
Late check-out is not permitted unless purchased separately or permitted by the Titan Beach Rentals staff.
House cleaning is available for an additional charge during your stay. The charge may vary from the initial cleaning fee originally paid. If you would like to arrange a mid-stay cleaning, please contact our staff at (619) 800-1468.
No. We require all our properties be professionally cleaned by our approved insured vendors. This is a health and safety issue, which is why we must approve vendors who have the proper insurance and liability coverage, plus pass our company cleaning standards.
No more than (see property listing) people are permitted at the property at any time without the approval of Titan Beach Rentals. If you are planning a family dinner, or small party, you may have this approved by our staff. Please be sure to let them know in advance of your arrival. Some events also need approval from HOAs before they are permitted.
Bachelor and bachelorette parties, or any other party beyond the maximum occupancy (unless otherwise approved), are not permitted. Parties of any kind that might disturb peaceful enjoyment of neighbors are strictly prohibited, and may lead to immediate eviction. All homes are in dense residential communities with strict City of San Diego noise ordinance in place and enforced. We also require all guests adhere to the San Diego Good Neighbor Policy.
Dinner parties, or other pre-approved parties are permitted with written permission only.
No smoking of any substance is allowed in the property or common areas shared with other residents.
No pets are permitted outside of select properties, as identified on our website. You are responsible for controlling your pet and monitoring the house rules as well. Any damages or noise violations related to your pet may result in the appropriate charge for damages or possibly an early termination of your stay.
The majority of our properties come with beach towels, a few beach chairs and boogie boards and/or beach toys. We cannot guarantee these items for each reservation, nor that there will be enough for each person in the reservation. Guests are more than welcome to bring their own beach items, including tents and canopies.
However, all Guests are required to follow all San Diego beach regulations, which include no smoking or alcohol, at all, on the beach.
Where fire pits are provided during the summer months, they are available on a first come, first served basis. Open beach fires outside containers are prohibited at all San Diego beaches. Fires are not allowed between midnight and 5 a.m.
The burning of rubbish is prohibited. Only wood, charcoal or paper products may be used as fuel. Fuel for the fire may not exceed a height of more than twelve inches above the upper edge of the fire container.
The fire must be extinguished before leaving the beach. Coals must be removed or deposited in hot coal containers.
All our properties come with a starter kit of one roll of paper towels, dish and hand soap, cleaning sponge, two trash bags, two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, bath soap. Anything needed beyond this is the responsibility of the guest, which is common across all San Diego property management companies.
Linens and bath towels are included with all our properties. However, you are responsible for washing and reuse of such items. Our cleaners do not deliver replacement, or extra sets, unless due to an emergency.
Cable packages will vary based on the property. However, our standard is basic cable, plus sports and news packages to include ESPN, ESPN 2, Fox Sports, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News.
All our properties come with complimentary internet access. We cannot guarantee a premium tier speed and bandwidth to stream multiple devices. Please contact us to check the speed if you need to work from our rental and/or videoconference.
Each property varies, however we recommend contacting our partner, Babys Away, for any items you might need for your little ones. For a rental fee, they can deliver any items you wish you rent, prior to your arrival. They are also able to pick up items after your departure.
We provide two sets of keys, or keyless entry, for all our properties. If you need an extra set of keys, please contact our office to speak with a team member.
Any lost HOA or building key is subject to a $25 service fee, in addition to the cost to purchase a replacement.
Yes, you can send packages to the property; however subscription services and mail are not permitted unless you are staying for 30+ nights and approved via lease. Titan Beach Rentals is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged packages.
Please inspect the property thoroughly before departure. Our staff and our cleaners will also inspect for items left behind. However, Titan Beach Rentals and the Owner are not responsible for personal property and belongings which are left in the property after check-out or in cases of theft, damage or any other loss.
Should an item be found after your departure, we have a $25 return charge, plus the cost of shipping and packaging. This must be paid in advance of items being shipped. Any item left unclaimed after 30 days will be donated. Any items over 10 pounds, or items shipped internationally, may require an additional fee.
